Universal Thinking and Osteopathy

Get upright – be upright – stay upright

Prof. Dr.med. Dr.phil.nat. Michael Schultz and Henry Kleßen D.O.M.R.O.FSCCO

The seminars on the subject of “straightening” are a combination of medical and scientific knowledge and osteopathy.

Speech and walking upright are typical human characteristics. They are already initiated by the individual development.

They are an expression of cerebralization and should not be understood as a modification of the behavior of our ancestors (Blechschmidt).

All topics of these seminars, which are unique to date, are presented theoretically from the fields of anatomy, embryology, molecular biology, anthropology, palaeopathology, archeology and comparative biomechanics, and are practically connected with the principles of osteopathy. The seminars build on each other and can only be attended together.

Contents

Seminar 1: Stand upright

  • A brief history of human evolution
  • Factors that determine erection
  • Development of the embryonic body and body axes
  • Cerebralization – Cardialization – Hepatization
  • Stability – mobility, the properties of connective tissue
  • Folding and unfolding of the opening spaces
  • Development dynamics concept
  • “Creating order” The ordering effect of development dynamics and development kinetics
  • The metabolic fields according to Blechschmidt and their form, function and structure differentiation.
  • Metamers and their segmental connections – dermatome, myotome, sclerotome

Seminar 2: Be upright – stay upright

  • Musculoskeletal disorders from a paleopathological point of view
  • Bones as information storage
  • How does the bone react to internal and external forces
  • Structure and function of the muscle loops and muscle chains
  • Principle of tensegrity – How do mechanical forces affect molecules and cells.
  • The fascia of the body between mechanics and dynamics
  • Against Gravity – Laws of Fluid Dynamics and Buoyancy
  • Pattern formation to maintain the erection

Material and methods

Lectures and practical demonstrations are based on anatomical preparations or models from the human embryological documentation collection from Blechschmidt and the Blumenbach collection.

The ratio between theory and practice is 60% theory and 40% practice.

Requirements

Completed 4-year full-time or 5-year part-time education.
